THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE

Ok guys, so as many fangirls did, I went and saw CF in the cinema on the 22nd. And it was amazing and I cried way more than I should have. I think (just my opinion) that it was better than the first movie although the first movie is still amazing. I think it was a better interpretation of the book. Amazing. If you haven't see it then go see it. I need to see it again, or I might die.

The odds are never in our favor, Emma :)

Twitter. To get or not to get?

I've realised recently that a lot of people that love THG, HP, Divergent etc don't have twitter fan accounts. Why? I have no idea. Twitter is great because it allows fans to interact with each other and share opinions and recommendations to other book nerds. And that is what I love about it. People don't realise how many of us are out there in twitter and don't want to be judged. I remember first starting heartingTHG, I was mortified incase anyone from my school found out. But now I don't care what they think because I enjoy it (I also caused the 'birth' of trisgirlonfire).

So, if you're a book nerd and thinking about starting a fandom twitter, go for it! Even if you don't like it, you can delete it! I can assure you won't regret it!

Catching Fire Inspired Nail Tutorial

So, yesterday the official Catching Fire trailer was released! *screams immensely* This made me really get into the spirit and made me want to read the trilogy again. So, today I decided that I wanted to share with you all my CF inspired nail art.

Here's how I did it: (I apologise for the messiness of my nails, I cleaned it up afterwards. I also apologise for the bad quality of some of the pictures)

Firstly I applied a base coat to protect my natural nail and prevent staining. I used Barry M's basecoat and topcoat.

I then applied 2 coats of black nail polish. I used Barry M nail paint in 'black'

I then applied a line of red dots (Rimmel Lasting Finish nail polish in 'Double Decker Red') and then dragged the paint up using a pin towards the cuticle about 3 quarters of the way up.

I did this again but with an orange nail polish (Barry M nail paint in 'Block Orange') although only dragged it up around 2 thirds of the way up.

I finally repeated this with a yellow nail polish (NYC nail polish in 'Lexington Yellow) and dragged it up a little less that half way up my nail.

I added a top coat to finish to add a nice shine to my manicure. I used the Maybelline Color Show nail polish in '649 Clear Shine', although I forgot to take a picture of it!

And that's it! Your Catching Fire manicure is complete! Thanks for reading this blogpost, make sure you follow me on Bloglovin' with the button on the right! See ya tributes! Emma, aka heartingTHG :)

So yesterday at some baseball game, after the 5th inning (whatever that is) the Catching Fire trailer was released. For us Brits, it was at 2 o'clock in the morning which I stayed up until to see the beautifulness that is the trailer. At this point, twitter exploded. Everyone went a bit crazy and used caps for all of their tweets (myself included). So in case you cannot find a link for any strange reason or cannot find it on twitter, youtube etc then here it is for you.
